Daily Prompt; I’d like to Thank My Cats

Daily Prompt

You are receiving an award –- either one that already exists, or a new one created just for you. What would the award be, why are you being honored, and what would you say in your acceptance speech?

Photographers, artists, poets: show us VICTORY.

I have received many awards here at WordPress. I never knew when I started blogging last year that awards could or would be given.

I think the one that touches my heart the most and will always stick in my mind more than the rest is this one.speak1 Why? because people believe what I write.

How many times did you stand in front of your parents begging them to please believe you? You knew that this time you were absolutely telling the truth.

Or how about when you told your best friend or a spouse the truth but you just had a feeling they didn’t buy it?

The big difference is you knew these people you were speaking to. You were standing or facing them and they still doubted.

Well here at WP I was very honored to receive this award. You all don’t know me from Adam. I could be filling your minds with so much bull crap but you read. You stayed and you read more. You began to get to know me through my words. You saw that I was telling the truth. You began to trust me.

Isn’t that what we all want in life? To be trusted, to be able to be ourselves. To be able to speak and not be ridiculed.

Every post I have written is from my heart and soul. Every word I have written has been the truth and nothing but the truth, I swear judge. LOL

No, seriously my friends I have earned trust from you and I appreciate it. It has gained me wonderful friendships. More and more my phone rings and it is bloggers calling to say hello. Or you call and ask about Al. This just makes my day. It makes my heart burst.

So, yes this is the most awesome award I will probably ever earn in my life, and it’s all because you have allowed me to be me. Thank-you everyone.Stagebook4

Best Moments Awards

park flowers2candle-animated.gifroseBest-Moment-Award

I have been nominated for Best Moment Award by Charm! Thank-you so much.

Best moment award is a pretty awesome moment. It means that I did something for someone that caused them to have a great moment thinking about me.

In return it gives me my best moments and it wants to make me smell the flowers and give thanks to the one above for blessing me with so many wonderful friends.

I found this segment on Charm’s blog. I found it very enlightening.

Here is what she says,“Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you …….You must read more to find out what else she had to say that follows.

The rules for this award are;

Accept and thank the person who nominated you

It would be nice to say a little thank-you speech

How about nominating a few people you think would enjoy this as much as you

My nominees are;

my secret love for you

7 Lovely Awards Nomination

A very dear friend of mine Cheryl nominated me for the 7 Lovely Awards. I have already been nominated but I will replay the questions one more time and follow the rules so I can share this with other blogger friends.   This is where you can go to meet Cheryl.

1-Answer the 10 random questions or those of your own choosing.

2-Nominate 10 other bloggers for the Award and link their blog sites.

3-Notify the bloggers of their awards.

4-Ask the award winners to answer the 10 questions when they accept their Award.

1.If you had the opportunity to go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

I would give my left arm, which is my writer arm, to go live in bask in the beauty of Kentucky or Tennessee. I love the attitude of people there. They treat me like I am an old friend. I lived in Ky for a short time and never met a stranger.

2.If you had the opportunity to meet a historical figure who is now deceased, who would you like to meet and why?

I would love to meet Abe Lincoln. He was honest, which is something we are lacking today. He helped with the slaves and this is my second hobby, slavery era.

3.What would you like to do with your life?

Until I take my last breath, I would like to continue to help others. There are many needs in the world, but better yet, there are needs right here in our own neighborhoods. Why not start there first?

4.What makes you smile?

Seeing Al smile really puts me in a good mood. Seeing my kids happy is one thing I always desire. Seeing my kids mixing with each other would give me the biggest smile of all.

5.What makes you cry?

I don’t cry often, but when I do it happens for a couple of days at a time. I must store up the tears. Thinking of my Daddy makes me cry yet today. Seeing Al cry stirs up my emotions too quickly. The feelings of being lonely can have me going off until it passes.

6.What is your favorite scripture?

Matthew 28:20, I am with you to the very end.

7.What is your favorite movie?

Terms of Endearment

8.What is your favorite quote?

Don’t put off til tomorrow what you can do today

9.If you had 1 million dollars to spend any way you want, what would you spend it on?

This question changes for me periodically. Today, I would first pay off my car so this debt is not in the way when Al comes home. I would have a second car, a lift van, so I can get Al easily in and out and he can go out into the world. I would open up the business I have talked about earlier. The one where every single elderly and patient that was in my area would never be alone. They would get the proper care and companionship they so deserve. I would also open up my Antique store again. I just love being with the public and sharing the love of antiques with others. The money isn’t bad either. If my kids were in need, I would be there for them. This is some things I would do first off.

10.If you could be remembered for one thing, what would you like to be remembered for?

I would like to be able to come back for the first hour after death and hear people say, I was lost or broke or hurting or crying and she made a difference in my life.

I could rest eternally knowing that I helped someone. I made someone smile, worry less, feel more loved, took the pain a way.

Love and Acknowledgement Award/ Wonderful Team Award

English: Team of German blog Riesenmaschine at...

http://mygulitypleasures.wordpress.comwonderful team award

Vivi a very close friend of mine nominated me for this Wonderful Team Award.

Do you have any idea how it gives me goose bumps to know that I am accepted and a part of a wonderful team of bloggers? We are family. There is no doubt about it.

People with interesting and creative minds. Coming together as one unit. Having the ability to express ourselves through words and pictures. Being unafraid to share what is in our hearts. Knowing that no one shall criticize us for how we feel at this very moment. Sharing what our plans for the future are. Being able to trust that we can speak of our internal pain and know we are understood.

Thank-you so much Vivi. I have accepted this award once already, so I will not go into the rules of it. This reminds me of a song that I always craved in my own life, and find it more often than not here at the wonderful world of writing at WordPress.

I Am Part of the WordPress Family Award

candle-animated.gifwordpress-family-awardOne of my good friends has nominated me for this award.

How awesome is this to receive a family award on my birthday? I am on cloud 9!

Thank-you so much Hope!!!!

The rules are as follows:

1. Display the award logo on your blog.

2. Link back to the person who nominated you.

3. Nominate 10 others you see as having an impact on your WordPress experience and family

4. Let your 10 Family members know you have awarded them

5. That is it. Just please pick 10 people who have taken you as  a friend, and spread the love.

Quoted from the Rules:  “This is an award for everyone who is part of the “Word Press Family” I started this award on the basis that the WordPress family has taken me in, and showed me love and a caring side only WordPress can. The way people take a second to be nice, to answer a question and not make things a competition amazes me here. I know I have been given many awards, but I wanted to leave my own legacy on here by creating my own award, as many have done before. This represents “Family” we never meet, but are there for us as family. It is my honour to start this award”

My nominations are plentiful, but you realize I can not have several pages going on here at WP. So for this one I shall pick

Planting Potatoes

Very Inspiring Blogger Award

Project 365 #200 190711 Back In The Saddle Again!

Ute nominated me for this very-inspiring-blogger-award award. One reason I am excited to receive this award today is it isn’t for my regular blog. It is for my blog that holds my quotes I make up and  post.

This blog and my music blog here at WP have never received an award, so I am very honored.

The many lines that flow in this award remind me of how I love my life to blend on this earth. I like peace and easy going. Quiet times and a movie.

If it isn’t a love and romance or could actually happen in my life time, I don’t watch it. I am a mushy person. I like lots of kisses, and love and compassion in my shows. I love watching movies that have to do with disabled kids and adults. One of my favorite movies on this is Rain Man. Just love it so much!

It is just like today. I took my brother out. Every street was busy with traffic. When we went to eat there were families with kids all over the place. It kept Al entertained watching the kids. It was alright for me. I don’t do as well with little tykes as I used to when I was younger. The noise and constant movement tend to get on my nerves. When I dropped Al back off and was almost to my driveway, my body started to relax because I knew I was pulling into a quiet home. When we get word that Al gets to come back home it still won’t be bad. Just the two of us and he watches TV mostly. I will be busy with him and my writing. But even then, I am in my home safe and sound.

I learned this little tidbit on Facebook yesterday. I even practiced it last night when I went to bed. If your car has the alarm on it for horn sound and lights, lay the key ring on your nightstand. If someone tries to break in push  the buttons. It should scare the intruder off and alert neighbors while you call the police. I thought that was a good idea myself.

Well Ute, thank-you very much for giving an award to me through my quotes page. I feel very touched by this.
