Bloggers

I was streaming through my Facebook page and my favorite sites. It is amazing how we are all made in the same form but yet we are  different. We look at each other and recognize our own species. Except for changes in hair, eye, weight and height, the only thing that truly separates us is our language.

Many times in my own home town I stand in the check out line and listen to those around me speak who do not speak the English language. They look like me for the most part but I can’t understand them.

There are thousands of blogs out here in cyber space. I see topics about food, love, pain, abuse, children, adults. There are some on affairs, death, illness, laughter, tears. There are even educational blogs, and topics on how to build your own web sites. You can find blogs that sell online.

I see blogs full of photography, beautiful women, handsome men. Blogs from awesome waterfalls, vacation spots. It is just amazing. My personal favorites are inspirational blogs.

http://kattermonran.com  Al has a day each week where he fills his page with great inspirations. When I am down, I run to his page to get uplifted reading.

http://utesmile.wordpress.com  Ute is another friend I have on blog world. Her pages are always filled with wonderful sayings and inspiration.

http://angelswhisper2011.wordpress.com/  Angel is where I can go when I want to have paw kiss chats. She loves cats and I certainly love Rhino our cat. What better conversation could there be?DSC00159

Although we don’t meet in person there are some on my blogs that I would truly wish to meet. Ute is one. http://girlwiththepen1118.wordpress.com/  Debbie is another friend I feel very close to. We share so much in common.

There are several blogs I follow that I can find a way to boost my faith when I feel weak.

http://myownheart.me/  Len is one lady who is very strong in her faith. She has a way with words which help comfort me. You know words are so powerful. Hugs are nice, a warm handshake helps, but those kind words stick to our hearts and never let go.

There are also blogs that are about emotional strength that I love to read. Maybe because of Al I am drawn to these. I doubt if this lady realizes how much I depend on her blog, but I always watch for it to appear in my email box so I can read it. http://thedrsays.wordpress.com If you would care to pay her a visit, please do. She loves people.

Every morning when I hop on-line I visit Rob at http://settledinheaven.wordpress.com  I get my morning java through reading his post. It is just like going to church but I get to stay in my jammies. Thank-you Rob for always teaching me about the Lord.

Marilyn,http://babyjill7.wordpress.com/ is a good woman. She and her husband actually came up last summer for a visit. Al and I both received the opportunity to meet her and her husband. Marilyn’s blog is upbeat, happy. I can learn about her awesome finds at goodwill stores. She lets me in on her secrets to staying happy. She loves helping others as she did lately, where she baked many cookies and gave them as gifts.

Then there is granny at http://digitalgranny.wordpress.com/ I love to chat with this blogger. I am always ensured I will feel better when I have my visits at this site.

I have a wonderful friend named Julie. http://jmgoyder.com/  She and I became instant friends when the time was that we thought Al had Parkinson’s. Julie’s husband has this illness too. I love to visit her site. I can see the beautiful birds she has living on her land. I can send well wishes to Ants and Ming and Julie and I have an understanding of what being a care giver is.

Bob has a large blog full of photographs he has taken. You can visit Bob over at http://pacificnorthwesttravelerdotcom.wordpress.com/ He takes many photos at his local zoo. I just love visiting his blog.

http://thelaughinghousewife.wordpress.com/ The last thing I do before going to bed is visit this blog. It makes me laugh with the numerous topics on jokes.  Love this blog.

If I want to dream and be able to visit a different country, then I go visit Viveka at mygulitypleasures.wordpress.com She is awesome. A retired chef she lets me view recipes and photos of wonderful foods she makes. She takes a lot of photos and I get to see what her country is like. I just love this lady. We have been friends for a  long time.

Well, there are so many more to mention, but it is time to go change Al and reposition him, so I have to stop for now. I hope you enjoyed your journey with me through blogs I enjoy.

In the end we are all the same. We may look a little different but we all speak of love. The love of our home town, love of photography, good jokes, food and life, and of course, writing.

Blog of the Year 2013 Award

http://thethoughtpalette.co.uk/

has nominated me for the Blog of the Year 2013.Blog of the Year Award 6 star jpeg

I was so honored last year when I won this very nice award. Excitement filled me to win any type of award for my writing.

When I started writing a year and a half ago, it was because God told me to. I had never written anything other than petty marks on my private note pads.

Even today I am humbled and honored to receive this award once again. I have made so many friends. I never in my wildest dream thought Jesus would ever bless me with loving friends who take the time to read my thoughts.

So many of you have been put through repeated stories of my woes of my brother’s illness. There have been those this past year who have asked me to try to write a book. I am still waiting but I do know that it is in the publishing department and to be out by Christmas.

I will feel like the biggest gift I could ever leave my three children is a part of my thoughts. Something for them to go back to and look through once God has taken me  home.

Some of you have asked me to test the waters in writing poetry. I have learned that I really enjoy this part of writing. I have played around with my writing, adding music to it, changing the words of the original song to how I am feeling that day.

I have been able to start a music page and a quote page. I have done quite a bit of healing through my writing. God knew that I would be a better woman by writing and he has never led me a stray.

Thank-you God and thank you friends for allowing me to be myself here at WordPress.

Daily Prompt; Blogger in a Strange Land

http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2013/10/12/daily-prompt-strange/

What’s the strangest place from which you’ve posted to your blog? When was the last time you were out and about, and suddenly thought, “I need to write about this!”?

Photographers, artists, poets: show us STRANGEsquirrel

Everywhere I am I think of blogging. Is this an addiction? No, it is a part of my make-up.quaker state When I’m outside looking at nature. Or maybe I am dining out.IMG_0094 When I am on a stroll, I really think about blogging.dark pink lake photo What about when the sun is setting on a beautiful Spring day?hanna water

When I used to take a small vacation I would think about blogging as I watched my grandchildren playing in the pool.deer

When I see something I can not get close to, like the deer. They are so skittish around humans but not this fellow, he just posed for me.

I plane skiesthink a lot about my brother Al when I blog. He has changed so much since last summer with his M.S.A. When I am flying I think about my blogging.peonies 2 I like to think about writing when I see new life being born.dscf4168 At the holiday I think about the special moments. Sunshine Award

http://inspirationalgem.wordpress.com/     has nominated me for the Sunshine Award. I am trying not to repeat my thank-you’s for the same award. But this time I will because the award has a new face and I want to share it with you.

I Am Blessed Today

I am being on the lazy side today since I had the biggest part of my work done yesterday. Besides, my sides hurt from moving furniture yesterday. Oh to be getting older.

Well not to side track, I was reading comments and I stumbled across a remark stating I had yet been given another award. I thought to myself, wow, cool, awesome. This made my day brighter.

And then I looked up at the window and the rain had left and the sun was shining. Thank-you God for this joy you have allowed me to have today.

http://inspirationalgem.wordpress.com   is who honored me with the Liebster Award. I get so excited over these awards. I don’t care how many times I receive the same one or even a new one. It is a thank-you from a friend who thinks my words and thoughts are worth reading.liebster award 3

I remember telling my parents that when I grew up and moved out there would be no more rules. Sad to say as soon as I moved out I learned new rules about being a grown up and they weren’t the rules of my kind parents.

And the same goes for this award, rules, what can I say? I have to follow the rules or get the ruler. LOL

Here are the rules:

Answer the 10 questions which are given to you by the nominator.

Nominate 10 other bloggers for this award (

Create 10 questions for your nominees to answer.

Let the nominees know that they have been nominated by going to their blog and notifying them.

Daily Prompt; I’d like to Thank My Cats

http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2013/08/27/daily-prompt-victory/

DP

Daily Prompt

You are receiving an award –- either one that already exists, or a new one created just for you. What would the award be, why are you being honored, and what would you say in your acceptance speech?

Photographers, artists, poets: show us VICTORY.

I have received many awards here at WordPress. I never knew when I started blogging last year that awards could or would be given.

I think the one that touches my heart the most and will always stick in my mind more than the rest is this one.speak1 Why? because people believe what I write.

How many times did you stand in front of your parents begging them to please believe you? You knew that this time you were absolutely telling the truth.

Or how about when you told your best friend or a spouse the truth but you just had a feeling they didn’t buy it?

The big difference is you knew these people you were speaking to. You were standing or facing them and they still doubted.

Well here at WP I was very honored to receive this award. You all don’t know me from Adam. I could be filling your minds with so much bull crap but you read. You stayed and you read more. You began to get to know me through my words. You saw that I was telling the truth. You began to trust me.

Isn’t that what we all want in life? To be trusted, to be able to be ourselves. To be able to speak and not be ridiculed.

Every post I have written is from my heart and soul. Every word I have written has been the truth and nothing but the truth, I swear judge. LOL

No, seriously my friends I have earned trust from you and I appreciate it. It has gained me wonderful friendships. More and more my phone rings and it is bloggers calling to say hello. Or you call and ask about Al. This just makes my day. It makes my heart burst.

So, yes this is the most awesome award I will probably ever earn in my life, and it’s all because you have allowed me to be me. Thank-you everyone.Stagebook4

Daily Prompt; Secret of Success

http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2013/08/25/daily-prompt-effort/

DP, Daily Prompt

What would it take for you to consider yourself a “successful blogger”? Is that something you strive for?

Photographers, artists, poets: show us EFFORT.

I probably should not be making an effort to write for the prompt today. My brain is so tired. I can’t begin to know where to start. What should the first sentence be?

Maybe it should be, If I could change anything I would do this.

If I could change anything I surely would boost Al‘s appetite back to normal. He has tinkered with the idea that he is dying. That led to a domino effect. Less eating, less energy, less appetite.

I look at the photos of yesterday and I see that small smile on his face.car show I can not begin to express in worldly words what this means to me. I will take the credit for placing it there on his cute face.

It was hard work getting him there and we paid the price of dollars on a gold bar for going, but it was still worth that smile. Last night around 10pm, everything changed.

Number one he got red from being out in the sun. I could have kicked myself for not thinking of a sun protector. I did think of it while we were there. He was in the sun for an hour and I held him in place in the shade the other hour.

Maybe it is his tender skin or a combination of his medications and skin, but he got red. He started complaining and I put cold cloths on his shoulders. I put an ointment on it also. But this started a night of living hell for both of us.

His tremors started up like someone was doing the jitterbug dance.dancing swing This continued with crying and me holding his hand while he questioned me again about heaven and God.

One of the big symptoms of M.S.A. is his internal furnace. It doesn’t know how any longer to regulate. So along with the red shoulders he kept leaving shadows under him of heavy sweating.

Starting at 11:30pm I changed his sheets three times. I answered his call light about every half-hour until six this morning. He either wanted to be turned in a different direction or he wanted water.

I would change everything inside this house. I would zap his illness a way. Toss it to the heavens.monstersnew-day.jpeg I would command him to walk once again.skeleton

He would no longer be tired. He would be full of energy and not drag butt.drag

He would sleep in any position he wished and he would not have to ring his bell to be repositioned.cat nap 1

Life would be new, fresh and a new beginning.

But all I can do is get on my knees and pray to God to do his will with Al. All I can do is wait patiently and love him and cling to my faith.girl-praying

I don’t know today what is the secret to success.

I don’t even know if I really made any statement other than my own deep desires.

I do know that I will hold on as long as Al does and I will continue with God’s help to remain strong. I will continue to show support to Al when he needs it. I will always say those three little words, I love you, so he always knows he is not alone. Maybe this is my success in the world, being a sister.
