Best Moment Award

This award makes me feel all warm and cuddly inside. It is a real honor to receive this. Someone, somewhere has read one of my post and now I know that it gave them a “Best Moment” for that time.

When I started blogging I never knew that there would be a day when I would receive an award. In fact, I hesitated about blogging because I didn’t think anyone would like what I wrote.

I can still remember it so clear. I had prayed for months for something to do that would not only help me, but to help others. I prayed to feel worthy while caring for my brother since my outside world was pretty narrow at the time.

God whispered to me for a few days before I wrote that first word. He is an amazing God. He knew that I needed to do this. My lack of being out in public where other humans walked was replaced by hundreds of good friends. Not just any friends, but friends who had heart and compassion and didn’t judge me.

My writing has helped to heal me. I have been able to speak of things from my past and learn to accept what we wish never happened. I have been guided by many in the right direction when it comes to my brother.  I feel like I have a host of angels watching over me and praying for Al and myself.

I get shivers even now as I sit here and think of the miracles I have received over the past year. What a blessing all of you have been in my life. Thank- you to each and every one .

What do the letters stand for in the word family to me?

F- Freedom to write what I want to

A-  Ability to be able to move forth in the world. To try to make a difference in some one else’s life

M- Music can change my moods. Through bloggers I have been introduced to different worlds of music.

I- Individual is what I would describe the letter I with. I am learning it is alright to be myself. I do not need to be what others choose and then be miserable with myself

L- Love is something I have been so fortunate enough to receive freely. This family of bloggers has poured out love and support and most importantly, friendship

Y- Yearlong is what friendships and writing are all about. There is no temporary in the blogging family. It is for life

Who am I? Hmnn….that is a question that I am always asking myself and that is always evolving and changing.

I have been a professional actress since the age of 17.

I have been clowning around and doing children’s entertainment since the age of 19, my “day job” so to speak.

I am currently getting receieved my M.A. degree in religious studies from CSULB in May 2011.

I decided that at the age of 50 I would start learning how to play the piano and guitar.

My passions are sex-religion-chocolate-the arts- travel and my dog Missy.  And now we will add music to that list.  Actually music should have always been there as I am a dancer and a dancer must have music.

This blog is where you will find pieces of my soul, my heart, my mind and hopefully my humor……
