Daily Prompt; Standstill

http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2013/09/24/daily-prompt-stillness/

For a moment today, time stands still — but you can tweak one thing while it’s stopped. What do you do?

Photographers, artists, poets: show us STILLNESS.

Often the world buzzes by me

My mind can be confused

But in the midst of everything                                                                    time-standing-still-katja-zuske

My heart and soul can infuse

This world we live in is big

When you think of all it can do

But in the middle of rain drops

My heart and soul stand with you

Days are busy nights are slow

Never all is done

But in the end I can stop and breathe

As my heart and soul have won

Daily Prompt; Naked With Black Socks

http://dailypost.wordpress.com/, DP, Daily Post

Are you comfortable in front of people, or does the idea of public speaking make you want to hide in the bathroom? Why?

Photographers, artists, poets: show us PUBLIC.

Wow, can you see inside my screen? I am comfy right now in my black socks. But oh wait, I am not naked. Whew, I thought you could see me.

Am I comfortable in front of people? It depends on the situation. If I am around people who make me place my wall up immediately before thinking about it, no, I am not comfortable.

I have been working for months on changing myself. Improving my own self image. I am trying to learn that I am entitled to my own opinions. I have always been afraid to say what I truly feel inside for fear of upsetting someone.

So put me in a circlecircle and I will probably be very quiet. You can count on the fact that if there has been friction of ill feelings I will be the last one to speak.

Now if I am trying to spread news of something I know to be good. Or maybe teaching something I know about, I will be the first one to volunteer to speak.

If someone ask me to talk about M.S.A. I would be asking, ” What time and day?”

If someone wanted to know how to decorate their home on what they have lying around the house, I would be all smiles.pulpit If you want a testimony on how God has used me in my life, ask.

I love to help others. I love people in general, but please, don’t try to get me to change who I am.

Don’t make me feel guilty because I don’t agree with you every time.

Please don’t try to put your feet  in my shoes because only I am the only one who walks  in them.skeletonbook4

Daily Prompt; Can’t Drive 55

Daily Prompt

Take the third line of the last song you heard, make it your post title, and write for a maximum of 15 minutes. GO!

Photographers, artists, poets: show us SPEED.

This is one time I have to admit I hear the radio. I hear it playing while I am driving down the road. I went to Wal-Mart and got a few groceries because I knew I wouldn’t get out of the house for a few days.

What did I hear? What was the last song I heard? The truth is I have no idea. I don’t take notice of where my mind is wandering, but obviously it does. I refuse to believe that at my age my memory is becoming unglued.846-02796238

I bet that my mind goes fifty-five miles per minute instead of hour. I bet I think of all kinds of things. Tossing them around my brain. Letting them in and out like a two-way door.

I thought I did pretty good. I didn’t even have a list to take with me and yet got everything I needed.

Eggs, cat litter, apple juice, cookies, lasagna, for an easy meal tonight, and a  package of cold cuts for lunch this weekend.

So what song did I listen to last? Who knows, and really I don’t care, or I would have written down on paper or stored it in my memory box.

I do like the title of this prompt. Can’t drive 55. Wasn’t that the song by Sammy Hagar? Yes, it is. I found it. Here it is.

Now that brings me some real smiles. Good times, free nights and weekends. Running around with the windows down. Hair flying out the window. Curfew of midnight on weekends. Boyfriends, laughter, beaches, telephone calls. Oh those were the days. Oh yeah.

Here is a picture of the first car I bought for $100.00. It was my baby. It was even black just like the photo. I had an AM radio and with gas at 17 cents a gallon I could fly everywhere I wanted to go.ford falcon
