I had to do something. Too much stress going on, which I don’t seem to be able to rid myself of. So went to the beauty salon. Minus make-up, this is my new look. Gave myself a boost of pink for a change
Why not!…we all need to try something new …and this simple thing will make you feel better for days…but, I bet you are going to get the comments from your family…~mkg
Wow…. how game are you!!!
I love it…
When I see women in the mall (or anywhere) with different colours in their hair I feel a certain admiration. Perhaps when my dancing comp days are through I may take a leaf from your book and give myself a pink (or blue, or green) lift. Enjoy your new found freedom!!! 😉
i had to go to the store tonight and i got lots of looks even from guys. whoo hooo!!!!! i may never do it again, or maybe i will!!! LOL. as they say
Try it,,,,,,you’ll like it!!!! hehe
I like the bit about the looks from guys… go girl… 😉
I’m sure I’d like it however; the dance world doesn’t go for multi-coloured or even two-coloured hair.
Just wait though until I’m too old to compete, then I’m gonna let those colours rip… by that I mean; I’ll try them all…. hahahahaha … 🙂
I do ballroom; you know – waltz, slowfox and such… We also do our Australian New Vogue, which is different from anything performed world-wide…
No, I don’t teach. We are not on TV however; I do have a video on one of my pages… I’ll get the link and come back with it…!!!
i knew it! you are beautiful, and graceful. the gown is gorgeous. you move like falling stars falling gracefully through a starry night……………thank u so much for sharing with me. there were songs on there i loved so much
Love it, Carolyn. I cannot dance, but I love to watch ballroom dancing and try to imagine myself doing it. I was at the Pioneer Village here in town on Sunday and they were teaching dances from the late 1700s to 1800s . I sat and watched. It was followed by an afternoon tea. It was very enjoyable.
So glad that you enjoyed it; it is great fun. I didn’t expect it (the video) to show up in the comment (I thought it would remain a link)!
I couldn’t dance either until about 6 years ago. Now, you can’t keep me off the floor…. 🙂
What I have Terry, is a whole lot of fun….
I didn’t know that life was going to give me such joy! Like you, I’ve had my fair share of pain and trouble, so to have this now in my life is so good I can’t tell you how much joy it gives me….
I’m afraid I have 3 left feet and have a balance problem as well. Plus my hip gives me a lot of trouble and I could not execute those steps without either tripping over one of my feet or having a stab of pain in my hip muscles and tendons. But I can enjoy watching. I love the dancing in the Jane Austen movies. I think it’s fascinating how they danced in groups rather than just in couples in earlier centuries.
Absolutely Terry; some of the gowns blow my little mind. One of the major reasons why I love it so much is because of the music and the people that it attracts. We all love the atmosphere and the comraderie, and, in the main, all honour each other with great care.
successbmine – I understand what you are saying… When, and if, I can no longer dance for physical reasons I’m sure I’ll still love to be in that atmosphere enjoying ‘it’ and the music.
I know what you mean about the Jane Austen movies type of dance. I too loved them.
i would too, not only is it good exercise, it tends to make u feel like a queen, twirling around with a prince in tails. another world to be taken to out of the ordinary we live in. a fairy land for a few hours. dreams little girls dream of when they grow up. i could really get into the atmosphere myself. to be other than who i am for only a short time
Way to go, Terry! If you can do something as simple as that to make you feel better, then I say great. And you are definitely not an old lady. I am a few years older than you are. The pink color reminds me of Kat Kerr. The Lord actually told her to die her hair pink. Here is a link with her photo. And she is not a young girl, either. http://www.revealingheaven.com/author.php
wow, i think she is my sister. lolol
she is beautiful. my mother, god rest her soul, would give me the LOOK for what i did, but it felt fun and i am enjoying it right now
Just what we, girls … need !!! A little pink in our life and some hours of spoiling ourselves.
Also went to the hairdresser yesterday, but only for a haircut – well needed .. color my hair myself – I have a streak too, but natural grey.
Terry, I’m better of if I don’t look in the mirror *laughing – feel so much better … if I can avoid them !!! I feel old at times, of course – but then I just let it pass. I’m old – 64 next months. *smile Age isn’t only a number – it’s more to it than so, but most of the time I don’t think about my age.
i said that wrong,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i meant,,,,,,,,,,,,,,age is only a number,,,,,,,,,,,,,,it is the way the mind looks at life that counts……….there, said it right. hehe
i have colored my hair for ever by myself, but i have a class reunion i am trying to get the courage up to go this weekend, so when i went to get my hair reshaped, i went a little extra and added the pink color. i had my first silver hairs at 21, so i have always colored. i was a blonde all my life but colored it auburn for many years, now going back to blonde, because i don’t want to be all silver! i don’t know how old you are, but i am almost 60, and i don’t want to look it yet,lol
Never been blond … always been redhead as adult – because I have olive toned skin and green eye, I believe that something went wrong should have been a born redhead. – my true color is rat brown. Of course you should go and get a break from everything at home – give yourself a good night out.
That is so spooky!! I went to work Sunday for a couple of hours and as I was walking down the hair coloring aisle I seriously thought about picking up the pink or purple, but figured Mr. A#$#h#$# would have a cow!!
hehe, i did it for a change, i needed a change, just for a short time, none of my people in my real world have said a thing, which sort of hurt, but that is life, right, the ones u want to care an notice, don’t
I love the pink!!!!!
