I Don’t Want To Appear Crafty

I was made aware about an hour ago, that my published photo and my poem are a scam. I replied back to the email.

I understand that I am only honored with a certificate for my poem, and my photo was published. I also understand that if the company wanted to publish my poem, it could have required a certain dollar amount.

At this time in my life, I was grabbing on to some happiness for me. Caring for my brother is hard work, maybe more emotionally than physically, but sill, it is a 24/7 job, which I am doing alone.

I shared with all of you because I got so much joy out of something good, that I didn’t care if I had to purchase the book or not. I won’t be purchasing the book. I am so content, with just knowing they were just giving me an honorable mention with the poem.

My photo is in a book out here in the world, and I did not have to purchase to get it there. Well, anyways, I don’t ever want anyone to think that I would ever try to pull something off that was not true. I was just so darn excited, and had to share……………

Sorry for any misunderstandings on my part.

Hugs to all of my friends. I don’t know what I would do without you!!!!

  1. Still, you took a beautiful picture and shared it with all of us. You put your picture online too, so we don’t have to purchase the book either! Have a good day! You have many followers who care about you.

  3. Terry, If you want to get poetry and your photos, and even your stories published…go to a bookstore and look into the Writer’s Market book series including the ones for books, photos, stories and poetry and there are more. A new one comes out for each every year with all the publishers receiving submissions and their standards for submissions, along with what they pay you if they accept your submission for publication. They only list legitimate publishers, agents and managers, and they give great advice. You can check out old ones at any public library to see what they are like first. I’ve been using them for over 20 years and they haven’t failed me, but they are costly running between $25 to $60 each. One of the first things you learn working in the entertainment industry is if they ask you for money they aren’t legitimate at all. I keep my old Writer’s Market books to see how each publisher is changing over time so I’m aware of trends as well. The articles on writing and getting published are invaluable. They also have a magazine called “The Writer’s Market” that list new submissions wanted by various publishers and that has the latest articles for writers and such. Try this before going to these fake submissions on line or in the back of various magazines. Another thing to find out what your favorite magazines are looking for in submissions you can go to their websites to find out, and often they put them on one of the pages in the front of the magazine. I hope this helps you.
