I made this Christmas tree today, and then since Al is gone, my son and his family went and got me this little baby girl. I named her Polly. She is Chihuahua/Pomeranian. She is eight weeks old. Now I have someone new to look after
AWE she is adorable! I have a Pomeranian they have such awesome personalities to each their own in their own ways. Very easy to teach and very smart pups indeed! My shadow is now 16 years old but I have had her since she was 6 weeks old. Lots of spunk poms have! She will def keep you busy. Little word of advice they love to go everywhere with you love love love going for rides. They will stay by your side through thick and thin as most animals will do if shown love. They also cry at least my shadow does when she feels she has done wrong. And when drinking water if they make a sound that sounds like they are choking don’t worry my shadow and all her pups did the same it is because they drink too fast. They are ok takes a minute to get through it but she will be fine don’t fret. My shadow follows me everywhere too and she tells me when her feelings get hurt. And they do that personality let me tell ya. Love her like crazy and don’t know what I will do if she ever leaves me. Enjoy. She is a doll baby!
i have already noticed that she wants to be held all of the time. I have used the potty spray outside and she goes immediately, not much, but she goes, and as soon as she is done, she comes over and sits on my feet, whining to be picked up. she is such a furball right now. her daddy is a big fur ball too. she looks just like her dad in build, hair and colors, and he is a full pom. i love her already and she has been a blessing to my emotions today
Oh and I taught shadow how to say I love you very smart indeedy. She tries so hard to say it and in the end ends up howling lol but she is so cute when she does.
I was not expecting her, and she loves to be cuddled and held. i love her already, thank you for all of your prayers, because I am sure that through your prayers, I received Polly
What a cutie pie!!! My dog Missy saved me seven years when my doggie Topaz passed away quite unexpectedly. They are just furballs of unconditional love.
last night was something else. it reminded me of when my own children were babies. up every couple of hours to go potty! although this mama is tired today, i am totally in love with her already!!!!!! you are right, they are fur balls of joy
it was at the most precise moment i received this lovable bundle of joy, except the every two hour potty thing through the night. grrrrr. brings back memories from my kids. hehe
Oops! Apologies for the late reply! Anyways, I have been very lazy and am not sure if it was the hot weather or is it just me making excuses. hehe. And when I saw this post I suddenly had an idea on what to do for next week! 🙂
she is such a blessing, she wants to be held all the time, so me using the bathroom was a real experience, lol, i had to take her in with me and she sat in front of me wimpering for me to hurry up so she could be held again. geesh! how am i going to do my housework? lol. this too, will take time, as the same for Al and me, a transition period. I am going to see Al in a bit, and will tell him you said hi. he would not take his hat you got him because he said it might get ruined. he loves that hat!!! you have made him so happy
I am trying to crate train her and yesterday through the day it worked, but once night time got there and i wanted to sleep, she whimpered until i gave in and she slept on my shoulder all night long. am i spoiling her??? hehe
Well, whats the point of having her if you aren’t going to spoil her. 🙂 I sleep with all of my furbabies. As a matter of fact I have a hard time sleeping if they are not in bed with me.
the good news is that they don’t pee where they sleep, unless they are sick…but you probalby want to walk her first thing in the morning is she has been sleeping with you. I started walking my puppy every 3 hours round the clock, than as she got older spaced the time further apart. Now at 7 years old she can hold her own for about 10 hours if she had to.
well that is a good thing to hear, because she has to get right in my shoulder and that is where she sleeps. I have been taking her out every couple of hours. The potty spray works great, but she won’t go without that scent, and she will go in the house the second I turn her head, especially the poopy thing
Get some puppy pads for the floor—they look like disposable diapers, kind of. They have a scent in them that attracts the puppy there to pee or poop. It helps alot because puppies are just like babies–they are not being bad they just have no control at this stage of life and go when they have to. It gets better by the time they are 6 months old. With the pads you can give her a spot to go to when she is inside. It is a gradual process training them to go outdoors.
it was 3 in the morning last night and i did not want to go out in the dark so i took a newspaper and sat it by the front door and sprayed it and she went. i take her out through the day. i am a big baby at nights i guess. lol
Wonderful … well-done of your son! This is just what you need .. something that you can take off and that is all there for you – such a little beautiful and cute thing. So happy for you. You will get some fresh air and exercise too now.
yes, I think I am in for it as I sit here laughing at her. She whines a lot because she wants held every moment, but I hope she quits as I have a house to clean etc. She does keep me so busy
I’m so glad you have this addition to your family. Something that needs caring for but without the heavy stress and worry you have had for so long was just what you needed. I hope you will keep us updated with photos as she grows. Will you take her to meet Al? By the way, I love your Christmas tree, too.
I told Al about her yesterday when I went to see him, and he stopped what he was doing and said you aren’t bringing here here are you? I guess that answers the question for me about pets. I know that pets bother him as he tries to walk, so I sort of understand. Al never sees anything from others point of view, only his own, so there was no great! glad you have company, nothing, so I dropped the topic
She is adorable…a beautiful thoughtful gift….Diane
