Colors of Life

The United States one dollar note, like all other American dollar bills, is historically green. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Colors make my moods

Yellows are so bright

Blacks are the darkest of dark

I think I  really prefer all of the light.

Purples make me dream

Blues are relaxing for me

Oranges remind me of fall

Reds can make me scream.

Green is a reminder

To pay my bills

Green also makes me smile

As I look out over the hills.

White reminds me of purity

Browns just make me look pale

Grays remind me of dreary days

Golds make my blue eyes swell.

Silver is tinsel and so much more

Aqua is dreaming of  under seas

I really am a person of color

As most of you can now see.

  1. I heard once about an experiment where they put someone in a red room another in a blue room and another in an orange room. The one in the red room got angry, the blue room calm, the orange room mad (mad mad not angry mad)

  2. I enjoy color, too. After I got my first oil painting set I would look at everything according to what colors I would have to mix to get it just right. I got pretty good at it even though I was only in my teens. The world would be a pretty sad, drab place without color. The Lord knew how much we would need it and I’m so glad He created such a variety.

    • For a few years I have yearned for a one of those painting stands that holds the paper. My dad could draw very well. I sometimes have dreams about just letting loose with the paints. We do live in color this is for sure. Just now talking a tiny bit about painting free form, makes my heart race. If I can ever run into one of those stands, who knows………………what I could do

  3. I don’t live in beiges, I don’t eat beige, I don’t dream in beige. If my clients want a beige décor, they will get it and I will like them just as well, but they will live in the beige not me.
