Your FWF prompt this week is a word bank…
lazy – rain – perspective – glint – somber – trinket – static
Standing under the rain drops
Crying out to the Gods
A glint of bright light
Lights up the skies
Flashing shadows and sparks
On the trinket upon her finger
As her eyes looked at it
A different perspective
Could be written
Spreading her arms
Wide going around
In slow lazy circles
No matter how or
Where her mind wandered
The static remained strong
Her feet planted
Firmly on the ground
She was beginning
To come out of her
Somber surrounding her
She knew she was
She had just been
And had said yes.

Such an original combination of images, an ending that made me smile.
so glad you enjoyed it my friend!!1
I love it, Terry. I have to ask though, was the word meant to be “atmoshphere”? If it was, it’s brilliant with relation to the line; if it wasn’t, just leave it and say it was. I love it!
yes, darn it, spell check didn’t catch it and neither did I. it is supposed to be atmosphere!!! I am so sorry
I’m tellin ya, I think it rocks!
you are making me smile big time!!!

this is wonderful!
*MY GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!*
thank you Len, glad you liked what you read!!
Awesome Terry, … if that is your ring … well jealous just does not begin to describe!!!
Oh how I wish I could lie and say the ring is mine, but alas, it is just a photo and a woman’s dream…………………..so no need to be jealous. I would need a rich boyfriend first. LOL
Such a dreamy poem with a beautiful ending…very nice indeed!
thank you so much for a wonderful comment!!!
I like how the imagery shows that it’s such a big moment for her. Nice one.
thanks so much DEb
Awwwww, you described perfectly the instant reaction this trinket gives you. Then she was drunk and I thought I’d got it wrong or that it was going to break like my trinket did, then of course – it was her proposal night! Who doesn’t open the champers!
A brilliant FWF!
Well Neenslewy, I love this comment. thanks so much! It made me very happy to read that you enjoyed it.
Beautiful, Terry 🙂
thank you so much Angel!
