When we were little and couldn’t go to sleep we were told to count sheep. If that didn’t work we could be asked to count the cows jumping over the moon.
While we laid there believing that what our parents said was gold, we would see shadows bouncing on the walls.
Or maybe we would see big scary things under our bed.
Now that we are all grown up, what can you think of that we could do or see when we can’t sleep?
Maybe it could be images of bills. Maybe it would be stress at work.
Or maybe we would dream of a vacation together. Or maybe a trunk filled with gold coins.
Or maybe we would dream of our wedding dress we would wear one day.
What would put you to sleep quickly and have a restful night?

I am usually so tired I can fall asleep on the sofa in the evening. Still I wake up and between 1 and 2 am. I have the best thoughts then but also lots of thought about work or any problems which occur. I try to write it down to get it out of my head and then can sleep again. – a bottle of wine helps to sleep through though, but I don’t do it often 🙂

it is an exercise that takes great concentration. I have to go slowly and speak to each part. I do the head, neck, breathe deeply so the lungs relax, arms, fingers, legs, then toes. it usually works, sorry it doesn’t work for you
