I Need To Talk To You


I need to talk to you God

I know you are watching

With tears in your eyes

As this beautiful  earth splits from the skies

The news is not good

Your people are lost

Fighting, poverty and greed

At what price and what cost

Oh Lord I know you are waiting

For all eyes to fall upon you

Other than praying Lord

What can I do

How can I help

Those who do not see

That it is you we should follow

And not that of greed

I hear of shootings

And terrible  crashes

Innocent children

And parents bashing

Women being beaten

And children being whipped

Men losing their pride

As jobs are  being ripped

Oh Lord I can see what

Is happening today

But I am one voice

And I no longer know what to say.

I should be so honored, but sorry, I am not. I would be ashamed to accept this low down position. You are sitting there right now with eyes wide open and hands gasping over mouth, right?killer-pumpkins-doormat

I don’t normally make it a habit to discuss any politics. For one reason, I don’t know enough to be outspoken. For another reason I believe what I believe and I don’t want someone tearing that apart for the sake of argument.

Do you want someone dictating to you your every move?alien Do you want to be scolded for using too many internet hours?mother mad

Do you want a stranger reading every word you write?danger

The more you let a big corporation into your personal life, the more I feel like we are having our souls ripped out of us.

One day we will be alien to who we are and we may even have to report how many sheets of toilet paper we used to wipe our ass.toilet paper

When and if we ever go back to a country that is for the people, by the people, one nation under God, I may change my views.

Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

The Gift


As you all know because I have crammed it down your throats yesterday, today is National Multiple System Atrophy. There have been so many comments on my Face Book page that I haven’t been able to blog. Believe me I am not complaining. People have lit hundreds of candles in his name. Some have donated in his name. Others have worn purple as I still am today.

I was going through my comments and found this precious gift for my brother and I wanted to share with all of you. None of you have met my brother, but I believe in my heart you know him very well.

There in his eyes still strong and free

Though his heart yearns for better days
He knows deep down this is no phase

He fights through tears, through aches, and pain
And hides them well as his strength wanes

He knows too well what lies ahead
Though it is certain he has no dread

For in his heart I’m sure he knows
That as time passes his purpose grows

For from his experience, his loss and win
Those in the future will profit in

And in Al’s name there will come a time
When his legacy will be the sign

That those like him will face less dread
For answers will reach them just ahead

And in their hearts will always be
The man who brought the world to see

For Al’s a fighter, a leader, and more
A man with purpose we all adore

Without a doubt his heart stays sure
One day they’ll find the perfect cure
