For years I have been
Building memories
Of your face as you
Walk through bumpy paths
Of pain, sorrow, and laughter
For years I have stood by your side
Wiped a tear, brushed your hair
Our hearts shared the pain
Of what this terrible disease has done
We watched it take a way your step
Stripped you of your pride
Made you beg for more pain medicine
I have heard you cry at nights
Begging God to take you home
I have wept in my own pool
Al, I will always remember
The man you were
The man you are today
And when these chapters are closed
Know that you are alive in my memories
And that my heart will always go on
Helping to fight until the battle is o’er
And M.S.A. fades
Quietly into memories.

This is an excellent post. Remember the days you have had in the last couple of months, Terry. The good days. The days out. Your heart will go on.
Incidentally, on the X Factor here in the UK this week, one of the women sung this, and she said the last time she sung was when she was on a cruise ship and they were in a storm with everybody in life jackets 🙂

What a good time to sing that song, on a cruise, in a storm. Memories come flooding back in situations for sure. Thanks for the comment on my post also!!!

thanks my friend. I will eat better when Al gets home. Been piecing since he hasn’t been here. So hard to eat alone. My son is sweeping all of the leaves today. Maybe two more times will do it. I put a lot of things a way in the storage shed for the winter to come. We get terrible snow and bad winds, and zero temperatures
