Warm like Mommy’s arms
Soft like Grandma’s lap
I look at you and I feel love
I feel safe when I’m with you.
Will you be my friend?
In times I want to cry?
When I feel so all alone?
When I think no one understands?
Will you play with me
Will you follow me where I go?
Will you be my best friend?
For today I do not feel good
Mommy and Daddy are in heaven
And I feel all alone
Please say you’ll stay
You remind me so much
Of how good life used to be
Today, I need a friend.

Terry, you’re not alone …. you have so many friends – and I’m sure there a lot more to come …. love every word of this *smile

No I am never alone, only when I think of my family that used to be. Hugs my dear friend

Terry, so true – that we feel lonely when we think about the people we had around us.

yes, but I also love those memories, but I try not to visit them too much or I become sad, and I don’t need sad in my life

You put a big old lump in my throat with this one. So emotional. I relate! 😦

Yes, I think we all relate at some point in our lives. Having Al, my brother in the declining stages of health; knowing my parents are gone, leaves a torn seam at the heart, but with the memories, I can stitch up a few loose threads. Hugs my friend
