Life is hard here at home. You all know it by following my blog. I try very hard to find one thing that I can see to show me life is still alive and hope is still something I can cling to.
Today, I raced down to the mailbox to see if a gift has arrived that Al; http://kattermonran.com, has arranged for my brother, Al.
When I came back I heard some strange sounds. I looked up into the skies and these were flying in circles above our house. I hurried inside and grabbed my good friend, my camera and stood outside waiting for them to return. Here is what I captured.
If you don’t take time to notice the small stuff, you won’t ever appreciate the big stuff………..T.S.

I always call them geese. I can’t tell the difference! They honk, is all I know!!! LOL

I am a goose. 99% of geese are white. Ducks (female mallards) are brown with the look of cork. Drakes (male mallards) the majority have green like this

Being surrounded by farm fields we see/hear a lot of them. In early mornings mostly you hear hunters firing like crazy. It sounds like their firing from my yard though I live in town. I always know when it’s duck season though. You don’t need an alarm clock. We awake to “boom, boom, boom”.

nice shots! We get Canadian Geese flying over and honking and back east we had snow geese. And mallards use to live in a yard we had on the water. Love them all.
