Lord, I Pray
Do you remember reading my post yesterday about gays being able to legally wed in Indiana? Well for now a stay has been placed and no other couples of the same-sex are allowed to marry.
My whole point in writing that post was not about whether gays can marry, it was about what happens when there are so many differences of opinions. When we don’t get our way, some throw words before thinking. Or maybe I am wrong, they toss words because they have been thinking.
I am guilty also. I get my feelings hurt much too easily. I am a Taurus by sign, and it has always stated that we wear our feelings on our sleeves, so this is my excuse. LOL I have been known to say things that I really didn’t mean, but not to this extreme.
I was to go out this evening with the girls, but didn’t realize no one was going to go. I ended up going to Taco Bell for supper and looked around at Kohl’s and TJ Maxx. I didn’t really find anything so came home.
Of course I hopped on Facebook and the first thing I saw was the news of the Stay on the gay marriage. What bothered me above all was the words that followed from comments.
This is where I stated yesterday that Satan is sitting back laughing his ass off at the turmoil that has been happening. I won’t use any names to protect others, but here are a few remarks.
We really need to watch our tongues. I am not giving you a tongue lashing at all, but we are setting examples for our youth. Not all may realize how often and how much our younger people watch and listen to what we say and do.
As for me, myself and I; I say a prayer. Oh God, our world is turning into a ball of turmoil. I ask you Lord to watch over each of us. Let us see that you are the Alpha and Omega. You are the one who has every power of bringing us into this world and take us out of this world. I pray for those who are angry and frustrated. I pray for peace, but I know in my heart that your word says there will be no real peace until you come back again. Watch over us Lord, forgive us for we do not always know what we do. Amen

I changed my mind about placing the comments down because this is a public blog. I will say that there were four letter words and name calling. The Bible was referred to as something that could be tossed. It saddens me to see what is happening around me.

Open your eyes
