The Daily Post
When was the last time you watched something so scary, cringe-worthy, or unbelievably tacky — in a movie, on TV, or in real life — you had to cover your eyes?
I don’t know if this show I am watching is brand new on TV or not, but it is new to me. It is so Sci-Fi; and I don’t usually watch shows which can’t be real. In this case, I can see it happening though, and I was so engrossed with it I set my timer to not miss each episode. It is on Sunday nights here on FX at 10p for one hour. You will have to check your local listings if this seems interesting to you.
The first show I watched was about a plane that was full with passengers. It seemed pretty normal until the plane began its landing process. When it did touch ground, the plane and everyone inside went dead. The feel of the plane on the outer edges was cold also.
Of course this led to investigators and cops everywhere. All were afraid to approach the plane because this wasn’t normal; but of course to carry the show forward they did finally enter and saw each person white as ghost and dead, or though they thought.
Last night’s episode was a continuation. It seems the dead people aren’t really dead. In fact, they had been infiltrated by a tiny worm from a large animal that feast on blood. I closed my eyes once as the investigators looked into the 4×10 box and the surprise came out. I look forward to this show each Sunday. I am just totally blown away at the excitement I get. I am glued to that TV for one hour. Don’t call me, no potty breaks, no nothing until it is over.
Oh FYI, the show is called THE STRAIN
I can’t even remember the last time I cringed…maybe by sudden death like people getting hit by buses unexpectedly like at the beginning of Meet Joe Black. It’s pretty hard to get me to close my eyes, I don’t want to miss anything 😉

We are like that I believe. When it is happening, we want to know. I can handle seeing blood and gore, but if it is mine, I would faint!! LOL
