I haven’t baked since last Christmas. I thought, what’s the use. No one here to eat any of it and with me being a diabetic, I knew better to tempt temptation.
Today, it is nearing the big ho-ho-ho day so I thought, what the ____. I will bake some chocolate chip cookies. When they were done I of course sampled one. I was thinking they were too flat.
I thought they tasted sweeter in years gone by. I double-checked my recipe as I went since I am having some issues with forgetting things. Yep, I followed it to a T. Well I did it. They are complete and kitchen cleaned up.
Soon I will be getting a real tree to decorate and then I can stand back and smell the good things in my home, see the pretty tree, and maybe sneak one more chocolate chip cookie.
It is the simplest things that create the biggest memories. 🙂 You will never forget those cookies. And I can smell them from here! 🙂

I would gladly share with you if you were here. The best part of baking is watching others enjoy it! hugs my friend

A big hug to you too Terry! 🙂 I’m about to start baking for the holidays – I’m the only one in my family that is not diabetic or on the verge of being. I try to keep things in check. I send you Light to assist you on your road to health. 🙂

Thank you. I am beginning my baking also. Do you freeze your goodies until Christmas then?

No freezing. I’m keeping everything fresh – giving it away as I go along. 🙂

Oh a good idea. I am going to freeze my items since I don’t have the strength to do it all the last week. Do you think it will be alright? I have never done that before
