A stack of papers

Beholds my mind

Creating chapters

Days, weeks and months

From our time together

Giving me tears

Holding feelings in

I only wish

Just one more time

Keeping eyes tight

Longing to see you once again

Mirrored reflections

Now, are all I hold

Open the veil

Pierce your way through

Quicken my heart beat

Rush blood to my toes

Stand  here in front of me

Tell me you are here

Under my spell, my mind

Vacating my space

Wishing I could touch

Xeroxing my thoughts

Zagging in and  out of my mind, are you  here?

  1. A day in my life
    Borders on giving up
    Character takes over
Do or perish I say to myself
    Exercise first thing helps
Friends who love me are around
    Grandson who I adore
    Helps me forget about myself
    Insight into my past failures
    Jars me
    Keeps me from moving forward
    Love is the answer
    Many good times I recall
    Not the bad times
Opportunities are still around the corner
People are more good than bad
    Quitting is not an option
Resting in bed does not work
Stimulating my mind is one answer
Taking the time to listen to others is another
    Understanding goes a long way
    Volunteering is the key
Walking in the woods helps too
    xanax is not for me
    Yesterday is gone
Zest in life keeps me going!
