Glimmer of Hope
You struggle to lead
A day of normalcy
You wake-up
With a new outlook on life
Hope, with a promise
Of a better today
Sadly, not much has changed
The pain is the same
As the day before
You try so hard
Not to be negative
You still continue to smile
Trying to hide what’s
Really bothering you,
After all, no one likes
A whiner, a complainer
You remain your
Own best friend
Someone you can
Confide in, cry to
You pray for God
To give you a new day
With little pain
And to help you
Cling to your
Glimmer of hope.
