Glimmer of Hope

You struggle to lead

A day of normalcy

You wake-up

With a new outlook on life

Hope, with a promise

Of a better today

Sadly, not much has changed

The pain is the same

As the day before

You try so hard

Not to be negative

You still continue to smile

Trying to hide what’s

Really bothering you,

After all, no one likes

A whiner, a complainer

You remain your

Own best friend

Someone you can

Confide in, cry to

You pray for God

To give you a new day

With little pain

And to help you

Cling to your

Glimmer of hope.

  1. Terry, I am sorry for the pain you endure. We can only pray and like you said trust Him for our lives. Have you been reading up on Joey Feek.. She may be in her last days.. There will be a day when there will be no tears and no pain.. Hugs Terry and I do wonder if you will be affected by the storm that they have been talking about.. Stay well and warm..

    • When we are sick, there is no where else to turn but to God and my writing. I have a very difficult time talking about how I feel, other than surface talk. I am glad you understand and knowing that Al is no longer in pain and in heaven, gives me hope. I am right in the middle of the storm coming tonight. Ice, several inches of snow and winds. Stocked up on water, necessities, and staying in until Friday night when it is over. Big hugs
