Holidays  Without  You

Holidays  Without  You
Maybe  it’s  the weather

Maybe the time  of  year

Wishing and remembering

When you  were once here.
There’s  an  ache in my heart

Not many understand

The void left within me

Is still vastly  grand.
I’ll  cling to  my children

Finding  strength  in their eyes

For it’s what they want most

To see me happy  and not cry.
