The word for today is; PROTEST
an expression or declaration of objection, disapproval, or dissent, often in opposition to something a person is powerless to prevent or avoid:
We are one of many who walk on this earth. We each take up the same air. Our hearts beat in the same manner. We feel with our emotions just like those across the waters from us.
So why is it that we Protest?
Shouldn’t we each be allowed to have our unique opinions? Is it really that important that I believe what you believe in? Do we not have different colors of skin, hair, eyes? This alone, makes us each different and yet the same. Human beings, wanting to be needed, loved, approval.
We look the same don’t we? We or most of us have two legs, two arms, two eyes, one trunk, two ears, one nose. But, yet, we want more. We can’t have it. We have to respect that others may not like our Presidents, our religions, our food choices, our mates, and maybe our children.
I think there are some logical reasons for protesting, but it seems through my eyes, that we thus protest way too much. Anything that we don’t agree on, we protest.
God says, love one another as you love yourself, and this is what I try to do, and intend to do until I no longer breathe your space. I don’t always agree with decisions, but have to ask myself, is it worth it? Would standing up and protesting benefit?
Only you know the answer to that question. I just want it to stop. Peace is what this earth needs, and now that Christmas season is here, why not think about starting that new tradition of finding peace.
