We are but fragile pebbles
Living on this land
Unique pieces of glass
Reflections of God’s hands.
Some show bold lights
For which we follow
Others bind together
Or else they’d be hollow.
Water flows gently
Over each skin
Nourishing our minds
And only then
Does God allow
Hidden talents to shine
Showing those
Love and being kind
Praying over the
Sick and blind
Lifting spirits
Like fine, red wine
And when we’ve completed
Our job on earth
God calls us home
We become rebirthed.
So my friends; please don’t cry
When we leave this temporary place
Remember with smiles
Our time together; with joy and grace.
Written by my feelings,
Terry Shepherd
