Daily Prompt; Honorific

October 16th is officially declared “Person X Day” — and you get to pick Person X. Tell us about someone who deserves to be commemorated.

Photographers, artists, poets: show us HONOR.

This is almost too difficult for me to write. Why? Because I can think of many who should be commemorated. I am going to go off the top of my head, and stare down at the moments in front of me right here, today and now. This is how I will choose my list.

Betty White , no matter how bad my day is; I look forward to her helping me to release my stress. I can guarantee she will bring me much laughter, providing me a good night’s rest.

Maxine, she is a hoot. You have to understand that in my house a fog of death lingers, so I will steal laughter from where ever I can.

Rhino, I can always guarantee a warm welcome. A fuzzy nose, a kiss on the cheek. He never argues with me. He doesn’t use hateful words to put me down. He loves me unconditionally.

God, I can never go wrong. He is the reason I was born and still living here. I will leave this earth when I have completed the job he put me here. When no one else listens, he does. He loves me no matter how I look or sound.

These are just for today. Each day I could find new people who made my day special.

In the end though when it comes down to it, my WP friends all make a big impact on me. No, I am not trying to kiss your rear end. Honest! I am speaking the truth. If it weren’t for you who else would listen to me ramble on?

Epidermis Bucket List

I have never made a post like I am about to do. This post is all about me. I am not adding my views, my tears nor laughter.

I get a little edgy when I think of how old I am becoming. Not that I can stop it of course, but thinking more on the lines of what else can I do or what do I still want in life. This is not a greedy post either. It is just plain and simple. If there is a way to complete I would like to.

I guess I will call it my Epidermis Bucket List. You can tell by the title that these are not life or death needs, but things that bring me joy. So here goes my list.

1. I would love to be sitting in my very own old log cabin.

If I could do it the easy way I would look like Betty White when I get much older. I would have the body of Raquel Welch.

I would have a 1955 Chevy just for fun drives.

I would own one authentic baby doll.

I would be living in the hills of Tennessee. Or I would be in the mountains in Kentucky.

I would never see another snow fall, not that it isn’t beautiful, but my bones just don’t like being cold any longer.

I would spend as many early mornings fishing.

I would like to meet a very nice eligible man.

I would like to visit Germany one more time.

I would like to have enough money in the bank that I never had to worry when the bills came in.

I would like to own one camera that takes night-time photos and close up photos with no problem.

Well that is quite a list. But you know what? It let my mind release and dream. Dream big you might say. Most of this will never happen, but I can dream.

I don’t know what is in store for me down the road, but it makes me want to keep living and maybe later on I will add more to this list.

My Heart Is Bursting

I have just received the news that I was awarded two more awards from The Prodigal Daughter

The two awards are The Beautiful Blogger Award and the Very Inspiring Blogger Award.

Here is a slice of who the Prodigal Daughter is

We all are lost and wastefully extravagant. We demand of our Father the nicest of all things to be given us…getting ahead of the One who knows best.

In our stupor we stumble and go hungry but just when we thought we lost everything, our Heavenly Father remains faithful…and waiting.

How many times have we failed? How many times have we sinned? How many times have we returned back home to a delightful Father waiting with open arms? God isn’t counting. He delights to see us . All it takes is a sincere repentance and we’re accepted in His family once again.

Our Father celebrates our return over and over and over again. We are redeemed and prodigal no more.
