Just a Short Bitch Session, Yes, I am Entitled Once a Week
No matter how many times I place my home and cell phone on the DO NOT CALL LIST, I realize day to day that it doesn’t work.
Every day for the last few months I get at least two soliceter phone calls on my home phone and one on my cell. I just have come to the point, I check to see who called and if it is a non-recognizable number I don’t answer.

Just a Short Bitch Session, Yes, I am Entitled Once a Week
No matter how many times I place my home and cell phone on the DO NOT CALL LIST, I realize day-to-day that it doesn’t work.
Every day for the last few months I get at least two solicitor phone calls on my home phone and one on my cell. I just have come to the point, I check to see who called and if it is a non-recognizable number I don’t answer.
There are days though that I just want to scare the pants off these weirdos and muster up my very masculine voice and speak to them. I want to squish them like a bug.
Now I am not against anyone but one day and let me be honest, today was that day, that I received my second call. It is 2pm and I had just had it. I was too weak to let the phone ring. I didn’t want to pick up the phone and slam it down. Instead I answered it in a foreign voice. I tried my best to make the caller believe I couldn’t understand English.
So the call went like this.
Hellooo
Hello, this is blah, blah, blah about your computer
Hellooo
Hellooo
I will only take a few of your moments
Hellooo
Then that ass had the nerve to mock me.
Hellooo
Hellooo, him
Hellooo
Hellooo, him
I wanted to reach through the phone and squeeze his voice box, for laughing and mocking me. If he only knew that I could understand every word he was saying; but instead I placed the phone on the cradle and walked away. Dirty sucker. I will get you the next time!
Changes
I guess WordPress thinks I am a young chick. Lately they have done so much changing on everything that has to do with my writing. I can barely keep up anymore. For some time it seemed no one was visiting my blog, then suddenly it gained 100%.
Then they changed how to even get to my blog. I had problems getting a photo downloaded; it kept saying error. Now the new post icon is up in my right corner. What is going on WordPress? Give me a break. I am not a young chick, I am middle-aged and my brain just don’t work too fast lately.
Maybe it is me. I always believed when it ain’t broke, don’t be messing with it. I realize though that I need to keep up with the changes of this giant universe.
I do like WordPress. It is an amazing place to me. A great way to vent, heal, or write, or share music and photos. For me, it works.
Tonight I went to the Moose for a couple of hours. I had supper there and now my sugar is probably too high. They had spaghetti, salad, and garlic bread. I ate about half of my spaghetti, all of my salad, and didn’t touch the bread. Hopefully that starch and carb won’t get the best of me tonight.
Since I have been home I have been texting my one son. We text quite a bit. I love it. A son and his mom, still having so much chit-chat between us.
Today, I started packing some of my brother’s bedroom up. Definitely not an easy task. I guess that is why I wanted to do that room first. All of my brother’s clothes were staring at me. I have come to the place where I know I won’t wear them and there is probably someone out there who needs them.
Anyone on here live in KY? It really isn’t that far from me, but far enough I will notice a huge change in the winter time, and it is probably hotter there a little bit than here in the summers. The southern states are so beautiful with all the trees and rolling hills. I live in the flat land, the corn state, no hills here.
I heard one time that if you take our main highway, which is 30, and drive west it will take you all the way to California. I wonder if that’s really true.
Tomorrow I am picking up a friend and going to the Farmer’s Market for the first time. Hoping to pick up some cucumbers, tomatoes, onions and green beans. Oh fresh, that word sounds so nice on my lips. No canned, no frozen crap.
Well, it is getting darker now earlier. A month ago at this time, which is 10pm, it was light. Before long it will be windy, snowy and icy here. Today I heard the first locus, and I have always known that from the first time you hear it, the weather and air will change in exactly six weeks; and it has been so as long as I can remember; so this makes it the end of August for us, and the heat shall begin to leave.
Have a great night and talk to you tomorrow.
Oh here is my latest photo of myself two days ago. No, not the locus, the other one. LOL
He Was Not Invited!!!!
How many bugs do you swallow that you do not see? I had a tiny gnat or something similar
that was flying around on my computer screen. He loved the light! I followed him around with my finger trip and tried to confuse him and make him dizzy, and finally he left.
Later, I took a nice big drink of my very ice-cold water. I was so thirsty because we had Domino’s pizza for supper. The spices get me every time. LOL. I was drinking and quenching my thirst and was looking down at my glass almost cross-eyed, and I spotted the spot! It was him! The gnat! That pest had tried to get me back for me trying to make him dizzy, by landing his butt in my glass. If I would not have looked he may have ended up in the deep, black hole in the back of my mouth, but instead, I gasped, choked, and water came flooding out my nose. I coughed, my eyes watered, and I about up-chucked. I guess I will never tease bugs again! I have learned my lesson.
But, it made me start thinking, about how many times I do take chug-a-lug drinks when I am so hot and thirsty and don’t look. How many bugs have I swallowed? How about those hot, humid nights when we are sitting outside, trying to catch a feel of a soft breeze going by. Have the bugs invaded my drinks?
What about the opened cola cans sitting outside. Are we inviting them in for a swim? Did we invite them in for tea? I think we must all be aware of what we are drinking and make sure we have not taken more into our guts than what we want there.
Well my gosh, now there is another gnat flying around. It must be Al’s banana peelings. I don’t have any garbage lying around. Quickly, I lay a tissue over the top of my newly poured ice water. I am not open for another water slide out my nose!! LOL

Picture It And Write It, Prompt #28
This home stands abandoned now. Left with rooms filled with whispers of laughter and love from its prior guests. I walked in the front door and sat down in one of the wooden rockers. It squeaked against the old wooden floors. I could remember coming here when I was a child. Hearing the stories of how children had been born and raised here. There were summer reunions held here. All family members made a special trip to this house and they had a feast of many great foods. The children would swim, and fish, and would venture into nature and look for bugs and insects. I could remember finding a rare bug, and taking it to show grandpa. He said it was the most beautiful bug he had ever seen. He took one of his old boxes and went to his wife’s sewing box and pulled out a straight pin, and he pinned the bug for me. I kept this in my special place in my bedroom among the other memories I had collected through the years. There had been weddings here, and funeral dinners held here. It was a home-built with love by my great grandma and grandpa. I stopped rocking and sat very still. I could hear giggles coming from the kitchen, where children had helped bake home-made cookies. I scooted my rocker around so it was facing the big living room. The furniture was still in its place, but covered with sheets. I could picture grandpa standing over grandma with a twig of mistletoe at Christmas, and I remember giggling as I stole a peek of them kissing. Lots of memories here. A home filled with love, now standing empty. I placed the rocker back in its original place and placed the sheet over it, to protect the memories and never let them escape. I walked out of the house and shut the door softly, singing to myself.
