Best Moment Award

Mike over at,http://mikesfilmtalk.com; has nominated me for the Best Moment Award.Best-Moment-Award

This award makes me feel all warm and cuddly inside. It is a real honor to receive this. Someone, somewhere has read one of my post and now I know that it gave them a “Best Moment” for that time.

I don’t know which post I wrote that gave him the ah-hah moment, but I found my nomination on my post called, https://terry1954.wordpress.com/2013/03/31/happy-easter/#comment-30763

Thank-you so much Mike. I really do appreciate this.

Winners repost this completely with their acceptance speech. This speech may be written or video taped (vlogged)

Winners have the privilege of awarding the next recipients. The re-post should have a new set of people/blogs that are worthy of this award and then you have to tell the new folks that you’ve chosen.

When I started blogging I never knew that there would be a day when I would receive an award. In fact, I hesitated about blogging because I didn’t think anyone would like what I wrote.

I can still remember it so clear. I had prayed for months for something to do that would not only help me, but to help others. I prayed to feel worthy while caring for my brother since my outside world was pretty narrow at the time.

God whispered to me for a few days before I wrote that first word. He is an amazing God. He knew that I needed to do this. My lack of being out in public where other humans walked was replaced by hundreds of good friends. Not just any friends, but friends who had heart and compassion and didn’t judge me.

My writing has helped to heal me. I have been able to speak of things from my past and learn to accept what we wish never happened. I have been guided by many in the right direction when it comes to my brother.  I feel like I have a host of angels watching over me and praying for Al and myself.

I get shivers even now as I sit here and think of the miracles I have received over the past year. What a blessing all of you have been in my life. Thank- you to each and every one .

Please accept fwf-gratitudeone of these beautiful roses as I call your name to step forth and accept your nomination.

The Real Cie

Best Moment Award

I can’t beat Michael Jackson’s speech, I’m sure. But while his speech is full of gratitude, mine is full of emotions. This is my best moment. This is the best award I’ve got and I’ll tell you why.

I’ve got several awards as a blogger as you can see on my right side bar – never mind that I only started blogging seriously in July last year (2012). All the awards I received were awarded to me as one blogger comparable to the rest, and I am so happy with that. But for the first time, My Best Moment Award did not only award me as a blogger. It tells me why I deserve the award and which of my posts made it for me. And I totally agreed with the award. My Sharing with Terry was indeed my best post and I really did my best to write it as I was struggling from too much emotions. I may not have written the best content and the best story in this post but it was my emotions which wrote the story entirely. My eyes were never dry when I wrote it.

The author of Moment Matters blog must be a very keen observer and diligent reader. I went over the choices and they are all excellent and exceptional. When other award-giving entities or mechanisms may just put in their close blogging buddies for convenience, this one I assure you was very well thought out, no disrespects to the others. I love all of them though. (These are Maxim’s words.)

Maxim, a dear blogging friend of mine has nominated me for this award. I had never heard of it. All I know is my eyes began to water as I accepted this. To know that I move people to tears as they read some of my posts causes deep feelings to stir within my heart.

I always try to speak from my heart and show. I really don’t know how else to write. Maxim, all I can say is a big thank-you. I will treasure this always.

Many blogs touch my heart also as I read them. One blogger that touched me every time I read her post was my dear friend Sara. Sara took her life last month as she could no longer fight. I miss you so much my friend. I hope you are at peace now.

Blogs that I would like to recognize are all of them, but I don’t have enough room so I have to pick a few for now.

One Lovely Blog Award

I am sitting here with tears in my eyes, tears of happiness, as I find that I have been nominated for One Lovely Blog Award by Missy.

Missy has been fairly new in my life, but I have emotionally connected to her blogs very quickly. Please check out the above link and read all about her.

The rules on this award are:

Give generous thanks to the blogger that nominated you.

Write 7 things about yourself

Make a list of 15 Bloggers you admire and let them know how awesome they are

There is nothing new to say about myself, tonight, so I will go right to the nominations..

Once again, thank you Missy. I so appreciate this nomination!

One Lovely Blog Award

Today, as I was reading my great blogging friends new blogs and responding to comments, I came across this new nomination from Lightningpen.

When I read these blogs I often find myself glued to the words. These are so good and filled with many interesting topics. I want to thank you Lightning for this award.

You are to tell seven things about yourself and also nominate fifteen others and give credit back to the one who nominated you.

The workers say my roof will be finished today. I am hoping so.

My brother woke up with a rash on his forearm this morning, so we have doctored it.

I had a dish of watermelon for breakfast.

It is to be in the lower nineties today, so there goes my electric bill!

The house will be silent all weekend as my family will be away, I am missing them already, and soon will tire of the silence.

I have gotten more exercise lately than ever. Maybe I lost a half of an inch around my waist, from picking up so many old shingles, tar papers, and nails and staples from the ground.

Did you know there is a trailer factory not too far away from here that you can clear one thousand dollars a week? No, I am not kidding!

For my nominations:

Thank you all for reading, and following me for my writings. I receive many wonderful comments. I treasure each one of them.

Mrs. Sparkly’s Ten Commandments Award

I am glad I have my little online community, but I do wish I had some people I could call friends in real life as well. I copied this from my dear friend Anne Sikes. “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” (2 Cor. 4:7) Sharing the journey through daily thoughts and struggles, examination of Scripture, poetry, music and art.  This is another part of who Anne is. http://mylifeuncutalmost.wordpress.com   Anne is one of the nicest people on here I have met. She is real, honest, and shares her life’s journey with me. She has also honored me with this beautiful nomination, Mrs. Sparkly’s Ten Commandments Award. Isn’t the butterfly sitting on the pink rose just beautiful? Thank you Anne for this award.

The rules for this award are that you must answer the following ten questions and nominate ten blogs that you think deserve the award.

1. Describe yourself in seven words.

Honest, shy, humorous, loving, compassionate, middle-aged, short

2. What keeps you up at night?

Fear of the dark

3. Whom would you like to be

Me, but thinner, and taller

4.What are you wearing now

5. What scares you

Not hearing God’s words and losing my brother

6.What are the best and worst things about blogging

Being able to express my thoughts, making and keeping new friends,

No one reading my blogs anymore

7.What was the last website you looked at

8.If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be

To be happy more often

9. Slankets, yes or no

I do not know what slankets mean, so I am going to be safe and say no

10. Tell us something about the person who nominated you

Loving, compassionate, forgiving, intelligent, follower of God

Thank you once again Anne for thinking of me for this nomination!
