A mother’s whisper

Of words I love you

The touch of healing

When I was feeling blue

Shared laughter

Just the two of us

Will always remain

Within my heart, it must

When I saw you tired

When you wept alone

I was old enough to know

Why your heart no longer shone

God said it was your time

I heard him whisper to me

I hurried and packed my memories

For I knew you wouldn’t be seen

Never a day goes by

When I don’t think of you

I pull out all my memories

And try not to be too  blue

I look up at the stars

I see them twinkle bright

There is one especially pretty

It is the brightest light

So today I want to tell you

Happy Mother’s Day

I’m waving at you mommy

Can you come down and play?
