He Is The Light

red treesThere is no other

Feeling as exciting

As being with

My soul

My heart

My eyes take

In the beauty

God hath

Gifted me

I thank him

For only he

Could make

The sun shine

When I am

Standing alone

In the middle

Of storms

Only he knows

My thoughts

My fears

My struggles

So to let me

Know he is

By my side

He gifted me

The color

Of the reds

The smells of

The earth

After new rains

He is the light

That I will

Use to continue

My walk today.

His Love Is Here to Stay

Arise Jesus

Arise Jesus

The night before you rose

The earth is silent now

Mourning the loss of you

Is only what we can do

You tried your very best

To teach and show us all

What is right and wrong

You didn’t want us to fall

Some of us listened

And others ran as well

Some cursed your name

And left you for an empty shell

But you let these things happen

You trusted your Father you said

You knew that your love for us

Was strong and in Satan‘s way

We get up in the morning

Our hearts still breaking in two

Coming to see you one more time

But you are not here what should we do

We tell all those around us

That the stone has been rolled a way

The glorious Father above us

Has risen you for this day

We fall on bended knee

And cry out to you above

We praise your name oh Father

Now you love us from above

Defeating the Devil’s Strategies

John 21:15-19

All of us make tracks through the valley of failure. Then the key question is, What we will do next? Sadly, many believers who stumble give up a vibrant kingdom-serving life for a defeated existence. But failure can also be a chance for a new beginning of living in Christ’s strength.

In pride, Peter thought his faith was the strongest of all the disciples’ and swore that even if the others left Jesus, he never would (Mark 14:29). Yet when the time of testing came, he denied even knowing Christ–and did so three times (Matt. 26:69-75). Satan hoped the disciple would be so wounded by his own disloyalty that his faith would be undermined by shame, condemnation, and despair.

Likewise, when the Enemy sifts believers today, his goal is for us to become shelved and ineffective for God’s kingdom. That’s why he goes after our strengths, especially the areas in which we proudly consider ourselves invincible. But if we’re willing, the Lord can use our failures to do spiritual housecleaning, as He did in Peter’s life. After the resurrection, Jesus met with the disciple personally and restored him, preparing him to become a great leader in the early church. He made it clear that Peter’s potential to serve was defined, not by failure, but by his unwavering love for Christ.

Peter laid down his pride, received the healing Jesus offered, and put on courage with the Holy Spirit’s help. He then risked his life fearlessly to further the gospel, and many came to Christ through his example. Failure was the catalyst that grew in him a stronger, more authentic faith.

I Believe

I know that I have Jesus living with me, and I also know that I don’t understand many things about life. I realize I am a simple-minded person, but I believe, and to me, this is what matters most. I don’t understand the whole idea of why others and my brother suffer, I don’t understand the reasons behind it, but I believe.

Here are some photos to help someone questioning if God is here among us. I hope you enjoy.

He Walked Beside Me

I wrote this poem for a local contest here in town, and received a letter today telling me it was now in the semi finals. I thought I would share it with you.

Shadows bouncing from the trees
Smell of earth under my feet
Darkness stands all around
I am not alone, for I am with thee.

I am forgiven, I am l loved
I live each day with his holy grace
When I sin, I look towards him
I ask forgiveness from above

He has a plan perfect for me
He wants me to complete
If I fall, he picks me up
And lights the path for me to see.

He came to me one peaceful night
And whispered in my ear
He told me, child you have done good
Now come with me into the light.

Had He Been Near By?

She woke up. She looked from side to side. She was out in the country on a lonely road, all alone. He wasn’t there. She got out and looked on the grass, no where in sight. She got back in her seat and pushed the red cross button on her on star, but no one said anything. She pushed it again, nothing. Over and over she kept pushing all the buttons, and all she heard was total silence. Stranded and alone. Think. Think. She had to do something. Her brother was gone, and she didn’t even know what had happened. She glanced down at herself and didn’t see anything unusual on her. She tried starting the car, but it would not start. She got out of the car again and lifted the hood. She didn’t know what she was looking for and didn’t know if anything looked different. There were no damages to the car that she could see, but she did have an awful headache coming on. She walked back to the car and got inside. She leaned her head against the steering wheel, and began to cry and pray at the same time. My Lord, you know everything that has happened here, and I know you are watching over me right now. I need your help Lord. Show me where my brother is. He has vanished. Lord, show me where he is. Guide me Lord for I don’t even know why I am sitting here myself. The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want, Jesus Loves me this I know,  she continue to pray and sing, and soon she drifted into a deep sleep. When she awoke the next time, she was safe in her bed. She got up and went straight to her brother’s room. He was there, sound asleep, and snoring away. She walked back to her room, and sat on the edge of her bed. She looked up at the ceiling and words were beginning to pour out of her mouth. Thank you Lord, thank you Lord, for, bringing him back to me. Thank you for watching over me. I love you Jesus. Everything was peaceful and she laid back down, realizing that she must have had a bad dream. Or was it……….
