Photo Challenge, 5 photos, 5 stories, 5 days

My friend Vivi offered me a challenge and there is nothing better I love than a challenge. What makes this even better is; it has to do with my camera.

Vivi and I have been good friends for at least 3 years. We have Skyped, chatted and laughed. Everything about her personality, I love. She lives over seas, and if she was my neighbor, I know the first place we would head to is a shoe store to search for red shoes!

Thanks so much Vivi.

Day 1 of my new challenge for Viveka.

This was me

Hiding from myself

When my brother became so ill

It stripped me of my health.

When death came to visit

It came knocking on his door

I swear I lost my person

I didn’t want to live for ever more.

A tick turned into minutes

A minute turned to hours

I prayed and kept my friends close

Until I gained back most my powers.

Now a year has somehow came

My heart and eyes still weep

But I find myself turning

To all my memories I keep.

So now I have come back

From  hiding within the grass

I found my smiles, my giggles

Now intertwined within my past.

A Little Color Added to the Day

A Saturday morning here in Russellville, Ky. A hue of browns outside with a temperature of forty degrees. I waned to see some color; so I took some photo shots from inside and one outside so you can see what adding a little color can add to your day.

Don’t Forget Me, Promise?

Time really got away from me today. I packed a little this morning. My son and daughter-in-law invited me to Kentucky Fried Chicken for lunch. They brought baby E. along so I got to spend some time with him. I always remember how old he is because he was born a week before Al passed away. Can you believe Al has been gone six months? It still seems like yesterday to me in my mind and heart.

He now has one tooth through and the one beside it is almost through. He can say mama and dada, and he loves to slap the table. It is fun to watch babies and see all their new developments. They gave me some gifts which I was so surprised. One of them is a shadow box with the grandkids in it. It is ready to hang on my new walls.

I came home and did some more packing. Before I knew it, it was supper time so my friend and I had supper together one last time. I love eating at Penguin Point. They have the best fries ever.

I came home and called my auto insurance and changed state coverages then packed a little more and ended my night with a shower and a see you soon my friends. I shall return very soon. Have fun, stay safe and keep writing. I will definitely read blogs and try to answer what I can.

Don’t forget me, promise?

Endurance/ The Daily Post

Endurance

Show us what endurance means to you. Is it that high-school diploma, beads of sweat earned on a long run, a treasured family heirloom, or something else entirely?

Memories will always be solid in my mind, burned forever in my thoughts of how we are born in innocence.

Today, Another Adventure

Today I went to a Career Center to see if there were any new leads for me. Afterwards I stopped through a drive-thru for lunch and then went uptown where a couple of weeks ago there was an activity to visit called Wandering Warsaw.

You know me, I saw the statues were still standing so I had to take the photo shoot. I got some flowers too that were so pretty.

The one statue; the artist is my favorite, Monet. Also, check out the one flower photo. A baby bunny ran in there and was nibbling on the foliage so I snapped his picture too.

The Play, Catch Me If You Can

The Play, Catch Me If You Can

I have been so down and out. I think God knew this and had one of my friends reach out to me with a ticket to see Catch Me If You Can last night at the famous Wagon Wheel here in Warsaw. It is a place where plays are put on all year round.

It did me a world of good for almost three hours. I forgot all the pain from losing my brother. You also know I couldn’t leave home without my camera. Here are some photos I was allowed to take before and after the play.

If you haven’t seen or heard about this play; it is about the bad guy as usual. It was set in the sixties if I remember right. The young guy, grows into a bad man, wanting everything however he can get it, and the guy who reforms in the end. It was thrilling and exciting to watch. It held me captivated the entire time.
