DON’T QUIT

DON’T  QUIT

When illness  comes your way
And it interrupts the day
When you  can’t  say halt
And too weak to  shout
You  turn to your self
Place the soul on a shelf.
You give a nice speech
Although  you  wish for  a  beach
This is the deal
There is no free meal
I’ll  fight with my might
Won’t  quit even at night
I’ll  find the good  in each day
Until God takes  me a way .

DOWN THE ROAD I KNOW

DOWN THE ROAD I KNOW

What was promised yesterday

No guarantees for today

Words, thoughts scrambled

In my mind, so hybrid

How do we accept

Changes with depth

Shifting our minds

Knowing we run different lines

Throw a blanket on the ground

Look at clouds all around

Tears escape our eyes

As we face the surprise

We come to know

We’ll travel down and go

We will give with all our might

We won’t give up on this big fight.

Determination

DETERMINATION

The fence line

The tree trunk

Even the horizons

Mattered to Milly

Each morning she rose

Five minutes to stand

Ten to the bathroom

Pain written on face

She had made it

The kitchen stood

As it did the day before

Standing firm, tall, strong

The goal within Milly’s heart

Just as the fence line

The tree trunk

The horizons

Determination rose from within

Milly would make it one more day.

Beat It Buster!

Bourrasque...!!!

My fangs are out

They are ready to bite

I won’t give up

Without a fight

I get so tired

Of you not caring at all

I hope for your sake

You never fall

Into the situation

I am in

Then you will

See the sin you’re in

My belief is when you

Care not at all

You too shall one

Day also fall

To your knees

Finding my face

Sending out apologies

To all you’ve erased.
