Amazing Grace

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound. Oh my God you picked me. A weak statue fumbling through thick forest here on earth. You chose to love me. Me Lord, for all that I am not.

As tears whip through the branches of my life, I can not even begin to thank-you my dear God for still walking beside me. You reach down and lift me up. You bring comfort to my weary soul.

You found me under a bushel of tangled webs. You saw my burning soul crying out to you Lord. I saw tears in your eyes as you heard me calling out to you. You know each and every one of my sins Lord, and yet you say you forgive me.

As I sit here professing my undying love for you a smile comes over your face. As I humbly lower my head, reaching out to kiss your feet, you let me know I am safe. You tell me the wolves will walk by me and leave me untouched, although they hunger.

Amazing grace my Lord. This is what I am offered as long as I continue to follow you. Miracles I shall see. Creatures I shall feed. Naked I shall clothe. What I have I will share. What ever it takes dear Lord, I will do it so that I may show honor to you God. You are the almighty one.

You gave up your life for me. You let them pound nails into your flesh. You bled for me. You are so great and I am so little and yet you provide me with love and amazing grace.

Create a short story, piece of memoir, or epic poem that is 26 sentences long, in which the first sentence begins with “A” and each sentence thereafter begins with the next letter of the alphabet.

Photographers, artists, poets: show us ORDERLY.

A tale of a lady, a sister

But whom all know as Terry

Came to be the caregiver

Doting on him giving love

Every time he felt insecure

For his life once used to be

Grieving for what he could not touch

Having the words said to him

I love you and I care

Just when he was about to give up the

King from above sent me a message

Love him he said, give him peace

Make his life better

Nurture his spirit

Open his heart to acceptance

Put all you have in this

Quest I have given unto you

Riches will not be in monies

Sailing along will be rough

The fact is I know you can do this

Unto you I have given this gift

Very few have the patience

Wise words you will speak

Xerox your heart into his

Zoos care for their own, and so you will too.lion

Daily Prompt; Opposite Day

http://dailypost.wordpress.com,DP, Daily Prompt

If you normally write non-fiction, post a photo. If you normally post images, write fiction. If you normally write fiction, write a poem. If you normally write poetry, draw a picture.

(New) photographers, artists, poets: show us OPPOSITE.

I tend to do a little of each of the topic above, and so for today I will write or create a new poem.

My day starts at seven

I leave my bed of heaven

I rise and get up Al

You know he is my pal

I fix breakfast for him

And drink my coffee and grin

For today is a brand new day

Hoping things really go ok

Get Al dressed and on the bus

Wish I could forget the house, the fuss

But I can’t ignore the mess

I really do confess

I clean until it shines

Hang up clothes upon the line

Looking at the clock

Oh my I so forgot

I need to eat my meal

So I take a banana and peel

And have one more coffee to go

Where has the time gone, I don’t know

It is after lunch

And I am tired a bunch

Time to think of dinner

Better pick a winner

So Al will eat it all

And not get weaker and fall

I am just going to take a bit for me

Sit at the table sipping tea

Time to get cracking

Don’t want my skills to be lacking

Dinner almost ready

Don’t falter always be steady

For here is the bus with Al inside

Taking him up the ramp holding the door wide

We are safely inside for the night

Al looks at the table with delight

We sit down and say our grace

And then we dig in filling our face

God stayed with us each today

Both of us remained out of harm’s way

Now tucking Al in his bed for the night

I fall in my bed and wish all a  goodnight.

Daily Prompt: Three Letter Words/ The Daily Post

Write an entire post without using any three-letter words.

Letter dice d6

This is going to be a very hard thing to do

Writing a blog with no three letter words.

I  have to enforce  my very aged brain and even some.

So I don’t sound like I have come totally undone.

What makes it worse is my brain is so cold

I just came back inside from letting Polly leak

I made my coffee, I’m waiting to drink

My eyes continue to want to remain half asleep.

So here I am placed with a drink  inside  me

Wracking my brain over this daily prompt

Polly is whining because of wanting to play

So I have to stop writing so Polly won’t stray.
