Money tight
Seniors;we know
Grateful for food
Especially home grown.
A gift was shared
From their homes to ours
Where there was nothing to eat
We are blessed at the hour.
Yellow squash or snapped green beans
Sometimes shared, a delicious treat
What once was bare, our plate’s now filled
Thank you God for this food we eat.
