I WONDER

I wonder if God gives us things to think about

When the fear we face is so powerful and stout.

I wonder if he throws petty problems smack in our face

So we deter from what’s  happening in our little space.

Is it right that we look away from our biggest fears

Maybe helping someone else, we’ll shed our own tears.

It isn’t easy, not easy at all, when you hear those soft words

Listening to truth, hits a spot, makes our minds almost blurred.

We feel it, we stir thoughts around, causing us to tumble straight to the ground

We argue, we fight, this just can’t be true; is anyone listening, anyone around?

Do we cry, do we scream, do we kneel down and pray

Do we wish it upon others, thus ruining their day?

I wonder how this could be part of the plan

Issues so big, happen all over the land.

We get up from the floor, we stand on our feet

We force ourselves to smile, the next day we shall greet.

We look in the mirror and wipe away the stale tears

We try to look forward but see only past years.

We promise ourselves we will be hopeful and strong

But somehow I can’t help remembering those old silly songs.

MULTIPLE SYSTEM ATROPHY

It scares you, I know

These feelings that you feel

A churning inside

The turning of a wheel.

 

You were always so good

Treated others so kind

So why does this happen

The key that unwinds.

 

I swear I know not the answer

I pray for a cure

I pull in support

Just like a flashy fishing lure.

 

I ask everyone to help

I speak of this every day

I will spread news everywhere

This terrible disease MSA.

 

I know how you are feeling

You feel so all alone

My brother found those days

When the clouds were all that shone.

 

You are not alone I swear

You are not all by yourself

I am with you heart and spirit

Praying for your health.

In The Beginning

 

What is in a cat

That makes us smile

Or a dog who provides

Us throughout the miles

Or the horse that is ridden

Along the fields

What gives us the feeling

Of contentment, a feeling of healed

What is there about fishing that does

Bring us peace and serenity

What is it about watching an insect crawl

That can bring us down on our knees

Maybe it is our souls that bind us

Maybe it is because we have a link

After all when God created us

He created the creatures and us in sync.

A tale of a lady, a sister

But whom all know as Terry

Came to be the caregiver

Doting on him giving love

Every time he felt insecure

For his life once used to be

Grieving for what he could not touch

Having the words said to him

I love you and I care

Just when he was about to give up the

King from above sent me a message

Love him he said, give him peace

Make his life better

Nurture his spirit

Open his heart to acceptance

Put all you have in this

Quest I have given unto you

Riches will not be in monies

Sailing along will be rough

The fact is I know you can do this

Unto you I have given this gift

Very few have the patience

Wise words you will speak

Xerox your heart into his

Zoos care for their own, and so you will too.lion
