Let’s Play all Day

Let’s Play all Day

Flowers speaking

Wind breezing

Rivers flowing

Green grass showing

Snow is leaving

Brown leaves grieving

Winter clouds

Speaking loud

Buds are peeking

Sap is seeping

Earth brand new

Morning dew

Raindrops fall

Children call

Swing sets wait

Open gates

Spring is near

Our future’s here

Breathe the air

Love everywhere

Lay the past to rest

Now take the test

Put all a way

Let’s play all day.

Waiting For Spring

Waiting For Spring

Waiting For Spring

Snow is melting

Ice is slick

Wind is blowing

Air is thick.

Winter still here

A tease of Spring

One day it’s freezing

Another day I sing.

February is short

And yet so long

Can’t wait for warmth

Barefoot or thongs.

For now I will just wait

And take a sample of Spring

The cold winds of winter

Will continue to ring.

Through My Lens

I guess God had a part to play in my late afternoon and evening yesterday. I was hyped and stressed at the same time most of the day. Professionals are not returning my phone calls. I just hate it when you wait and wait for a returned call and it never happens.

My son and his family popped up here and invited me to take my first walk of the Spring at the boardwalk. I jumped at the chance. Time to get a way from these four walls. A  chance to let my mind rest and enjoy one of my loves in life,  photography. I know I am not any good at it, but I find many tiny miracles of life through my lens. I thought I would share what I saw with you. You will see budding trees, a beaver’s nest, nature and my little buddy boy who brings me laughter when I am sad.

I Fear Not Your Power

Oh winds you show your power today

My senses feel the hidden forces

It makes me tremble and shiver

As I know what you have done before

Windows rattle shutters bang

Dead leaves tossed in mid-air

Children buried inside their coats

Trying to walk against your winds

Could it be you are trying to help

Clean our land from before

Debris and already dead

Being hurled about

Tossing it on mounds of old

Giving way to new and clean

Ready for a season of growth

Or are you rebelling that your time

Has almost come to and end

And your tears show in sorrow

That you do not want the morrow near.

What ere your reason for what you do

I will be patient and watch your work

For I know that your time here is short

As a new birth of a season draws yet closer

Open your mouth and curl your lips

And give it all you have

I will pray for safety and strength

We will beat you at your game

You will not destroy what we

Have worked so hard

We will be hiding behind the rock

For you will tire and need some rest

And you will leave us once again.

Another Season Gone

English: Black Bear mother and cubs in den,, h...

Winter last so long

Where I live

It seems Spring’s so far away

I wish Winter would go a way.

Today is cold and dreary

Snow is sprinkling down

The grass that was green

Now white is lying on the ground.

Birds are on their way

To find their homes once had

Hibernating animals are

Are poking their heads and I’m glad.

One more month til legal Spring

And I am counting down

Please go a way dear winter

Let me get out and walk around.
