If I could feel your tears
On my face
See you standing
Where you once stood
Hear your voice
Saying one more time
I love you, I miss you
I would smile
Just one more time.

I was trying to see what I could write in poetry with a smaller scale. I am glad you liked the finished work. I always take your comments very seriously! Have a good day Sheri!

Terry – I thought of this poem and it brought back the losses of so manypeople I’ve loved and lost over the years. I lost my father in 2007 and not a day goes by that I don’t stop and think of him and how much I miss him. Your poem is a real tribute that I can say to him. There are many others — but it’s perfect for my father–my best friend and my cheering section.
